What is our commission as believers?

WORLD.png

To make disciples that make disciples.

In order to make disciples, we must first be one. Discipleship starts with first becoming born again by Holy Spirit (Jesus Christ) and you cannot unless you know you are a sinner and that you need a savior for eternal life outside of the Hell. Sin separates us from God and Christ will remove the power of sin over our life and the eternal punishment. A life style of repentance is a must, abiding in His words, always walking in Him in His righteousness and if we do sin we have an advocate. 1 John 2 and 1 John 1:9. Repentance cannot be separated from confession of sin, let’s keep our conscience clean!! (James 5:16, 5:19-20)

We were commanded to make disciples of Christ and this comes at a cost.

Luke 14:28-30

Discipleship is a life change and begins when we hear the Gospel.

Therefore, learning to share the Gospel is first and foremost when it comes to making disciples of Christ (Romans 10:17) How will they know if it is not preached to them, remember we are all to preach the Gospel. Let’s not just say it, but lets live it in the power of Holy Spirit. Jesus said Go, not sit in a pew to be entertained for the rest of your lives.

Matthew 28:18-20

Mark 16:15-18

Luke 24:47

Acts 1:8

In reading these verse you can see that this looks way different then what we normally see today in the buildings (programs, programs). Where is the discipleship in the business or institution that church has become? Unfortunately it is rarely there.

Discipleship has become, serving in the children’s church or becoming the sound man, worship leader and on and on, this is not what we see in the book of Acts. This should not be the focus, making Christians should be our focus. Ephesians 4:11-13

Disciples of Christ walk in the supernatural with Jesus as Master.
